Valencia Executive Assoc. Headquarter

Valencia, Vzla. 1998

The Valle de Camoruco urbanization, where the current Headquarters of the Association of Executives has developed very dynamically, especially in recent years, appreciating not only residential constructions but also important commercial and office buildings, which have given it even a sector of the city of Valencia a great economic activity.
The valuable and well-located lot of approximately 4755 m2 that today partially occupies its Headquarters can give a better performance not only to the Association, but also to the city. It looks underused today. Therefore, a new edition is sought, which allow better and more functional spaces for its growing institutional, professional, cultural, educational activities, etc. And, promotes the integration of the arts. And, that it is not seen only as a real estate project, where some profitable areas generate additional income to the institution, which allows to cover the growing operating expenses, which the same activities generate.
Two volumes were proposed, then, one horizontal and the other vertical. The lower body, composed of two horizontal planes that at take shape would house the Headquarters of the Association would be fragmented and drilling to let other volumes penetrate and give way to light, creating squares and gardens with different qualities both spatial like lighting.
The tower would be arranged as a profitable area, being a clean volume, finished in glass and whose free floors could be occupied in different ways, thus giving a certain flexibility at the time of being leased. The auditorium that would occupy part of the space of the old Headquarters would be hierarchize thanks to a inclined volume, which would increase its capacity, and it would break with the continuous horizontal plane occupied by the new Headquarters.
